R Boat…R Island…R Family!
Our adventure begins to unfold from the moment we depart New York City. After a full day at sea, R Family Vacations will welcome you to the lush, slow-paced surroundings of our first stop where it will be “just us” as we dock at our own private island for two days of exhilarating freedom! Quaint seaside villages, beautiful pink sand beaches and tropical rain forests set the atmosphere for the most R Family-Styled vacation yet!

The Big Apple.
We suggest if you can take the opportunity, begin your vacation early and spend a few days exploring New York City. New York offers the best in theater, music, the arts and dining. On July 7, Saturday, you can easily hail a taxi or arrange for a shuttle to the centrally located terminal on the West Side of Manhattan. From the moment we board the Dawn, our adventure begins to unfold. We set sail down the island of Manhattan, past the Statue of Liberty and under the awe-inspiring Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to open sea. Next stop: R Own Private Island!

Sea Daze.
Sunday, July 8, is a full day at sea. For those of you who have never cruised before, sea days are really wondrous. You will enjoy savoring the day and visiting with each other — uninterrupted by anything from the outside world. The day is filled with pool parties and barbeques; Broadway quality shows; just-for-the-kids entertainment; educational seminars; comedy shows; dinner and dancing. If you’re feeling lucky, try your hand at the Vegas Style Casino or gather ‘round the piano for late night cabaret. Sea days are truly dazzling.

R Island.
R Family Vacations has arranged for something very special just for our guests. We will spend two days on our completely private gay and lesbian family friendly island where we can be free to relax and enjoy the sun and surf. This is going to be the perfect opportunity to experience the privacy of the ship, but on land. There will be festive barbeques and beach parties filled with dance and music. R Family games and events will await the children and teens. The island is filled with activities from kayaking to windsurfing to diving and waverunners. Be assured, we’ll have our own set of R Family Activities as well, just for you. It truly is R Boat…R Island…R Family!

Smooth Sailing.
Back on the ship and it is already Wednesday. By now, you’ll be surrounded by new friends and familiar faces. And the ship will feel like home. We recommend that you make reservations at one of the Dawn’s highly-rated restaurants. Enjoy fun by the pool and the best entertainment at sea. And for those of you with young children, it is a perfect day to spend time in the toddler room playing and enjoying downtime. For those of you who have cruised with R Family Vacations before, you already know that sea days are truly magical, and they hold special R Family Vacations’ surprises. Tomorrow: Bermuda

Feel the Love.
The Island of Bermuda’s tagline is “Feel the Love,” and that is exactly what you will experience. The lush and tranquil island of Bermuda is the perfect stop. The island is located in the Atlantic Ocean, only 650 miles east of North Carolina. It is Britain’s oldest colony and is both English and Island. Bermuda’s dance and music have been influenced by African culture and you’ll hear and see it in the sounds of reggae and calypso. Explore the island by foot, moped, or bike (remember, it is English and those blokes drive on the left side of the road). For the adventurous types, try parasailing or diving. For the rest of us, enjoy shopping, snorkeling, snacking and sampling the lifestyle.

Northbound.
Our last day, as we head back to New York, is a sea day and it will be a bittersweet ride. By the end of week, each of you will have made memories that will stay with you throughout your life. On this last full-day, we will have more fun and events than you can imagine as we take advantage of every last second of our journey. Music. Comedy. Deck parties and more. This is a perfect night to share dinner with your family and friends and take in the R Family Vacations’ closing show.

New York, New York, what a wonderful town!
When you awake, we will be approaching the port and making preparations to disembark. You’ll have time to enjoy breakfast in the café and exchange names and numbers with new friends. After you disembark, hopefully you will be able to enjoy the rest of your Sunday exploring New York. We already miss you.
